Description

This necklace is a semi-custom piece made with beautiful raw opal that shows a vivid play of color.

Each opal has its own unique expression. TROZO will carefully select a charming stone from our collection and handcraft it into a necklace for you.

When the stone catches the light, flashes of green, blue, orange, red, and other colors may appear, giving each piece a special natural beauty.

The base color may vary from transparent tones to milky white, yellow, orange, and other natural shades. These differences are part of the charm of natural opal.

Each opal is drilled with a through-hole and finished with a bail to create a necklace. The chain is removable, so the opal can also be enjoyed as a pendant top with your own chain.

This item includes a necklace chain. Please choose your preferred chain type from the options.

For this item, the exact stone cannot be selected from individual photos. Instead, TROZO will choose a beautiful opal and craft it into a necklace for you.

Because each stone is not photographed and listed individually, we are able to offer this necklace at a more accessible price than our usual one-of-a-kind opal jewelry.

About Opal

Opal is known as the birthstone for October.

Opal can be broadly divided into precious opal and common opal, depending on the structure and size of the silica spheres within the stone.

Precious opal is admired for its play of color, a shimmering optical effect that makes it especially beloved as a gemstone.

Depending on the body color, opals may also be known by names such as black opal or fire opal.

Common opal does not show play of color, but beautiful examples are also enjoyed as gemstones. Varieties include hyalite, menilite, geyserite, and wood opal.

Important Notes About Opal

Opal can look especially different depending on the light, as its colors are created by optical interference. All photos are taken in sunlight.

Opal can absorb moisture, so we recommend removing the necklace before washing your hands, bathing, or using it around water.

We also recommend storing it away from prolonged direct sunlight and high humidity.

If the opal has natural host rock attached, please enjoy it as part of the stone’s natural character. Removing or scraping it yourself may affect the stone.

The stone is drilled only as much as necessary, and the metal parts are passed through the stone to create the necklace.
