A free-size ring in 925 silver (18K gold-plated) featuring a raw tourmaline stone. Centered on a deep green, it reveals a faint pink and a sense of transparency depending on the angle of the light. Tourmaline is the birthstone for October. Most tourmaline used as a gemstone is the green variety of elbaite, but it can also form in a wide range of other colors. Deep-red rubellite and blue indicolite are representative examples, but it is loved by many for its rich variety of colors including colorless, pink, red-purple, purple, and black. Among them, the neon-blue Paraiba tourmaline from Brazil is rare and enjoys a popularity and value in a class of its own. The striking watermelon tourmaline is also famous as a stone layered with red at the center and green around the edges. Its main origins include the United States, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Italy, southeastern Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Australia.
