A free-size fork ring in 925 silver (18K gold-plated) featuring raw emerald x tourmaline stones. The pale, transparent emerald is cool and refreshing, like a water surface filled with light. The deep red-pink tourmaline adds warm color to your hand, like a water lily blossom floating on a quiet pond.
With their contrasting hues, water and flower, stillness and brilliance seem to resonate with one another, resulting in a painterly, one-of-a-kind piece.
Emerald is the birthstone for May. Emerald is a beryl, sharing beryllium as its main component with aquamarine and morganite. Since beryls take different gemstone names depending on their color, emerald refers to the green ones containing chromium or vanadium. Rather than transparent stones of pale color, those with a deep green and luster are considered more prized. Its origins include Colombia, Brazil, Russia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Tourmaline is the birthstone for October. Most tourmaline used as a gemstone is the green variety of elbaite, but it can also form in a wide range of other colors. Deep-red rubellite and blue indicolite are representative examples, but it is loved by many for its rich variety of colors including colorless, pink, red-purple, purple, and black. Among them, the neon-blue Paraiba tourmaline from Brazil is rare and enjoys a popularity and value in a class of its own. The striking watermelon tourmaline is also famous as a stone layered with red at the center and green around the edges. Its main origins include the United States, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Italy, southeastern Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Australia.
