A 925 silver necklace with an adjuster, featuring a raw amethyst stone. It has high clarity and a beautiful purple gradation.
Amethyst is the birthstone for February.
Colored quartz gets its color from impurities, and amethyst is quartz in which some of the silicon has been replaced by iron ions. Amethyst is famously sourced from Brazil, Uruguay, and Mexico. Untreated citrine is rare and well-formed specimens are few, so because heating amethyst turns it yellow, heat-treated material is sometimes sold as citrine (yellow quartz). Other varieties include smoky quartz, thought to contain aluminum ions and to have been exposed to natural radiation, and rose quartz, whose color is thought to come mainly from ultrafine rutile inclusions scattering light.

We photograph each piece as faithfully as possible, but natural stones are strongly affected by light, so colors may look different under sunlight, fluorescent, or LED lighting, and may also vary with your display settings. Because size is hard to judge from photos alone, please check the measurements in the description before purchasing.
Returns and Exchanges
Except for initial defects or an incorrect item being delivered, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We do not accept returns or exchanges for customer-preference reasons such as 'not the size or impression I expected.'
