The name "faden" comes from the German word for "thread," and there is no specific Japanese name. There are various theories about the formation of faden quartz, such as the idea that quartz in the growth process fractured due to crustal movements and the fractured parts were recrystallized into thread-like structures, or that the threads were formed first, followed by the growth of surrounding crystals.
